First of all, I would like to start that the right way of treating your acne should always start inside your body. The problem with common medicines and over the counter pills or treatments is that they have tendency to treat the symptoms of acne rather than the cause of the acne. Which maybe effective on the short term but always fail if long term effects are taken to account.

Obviously acne appears on the skin. But before grabbing that acne medicine or topical treatment. Stop and ask yourself, “How did I get acne?”. The truth is, acne rarely starts in the skin. In most cases hormone disruption is always the culprit. So if you truly want to get rid of acne on the long term, its best that you start treating inside out.

Simply put, the skin just reflects the health inside your body. If your body is under a lot of stress the skin could develop acne or other skin disorders. Its also worth mentioning that heredity is not really a big factor of what’s causing acne.

So without further ado,  here are my 3 simple and easy steps for treating acne.

Step I - Participate and complete a detox program. You don’t really need an expensive or complicated program. Just search in the internet for a simple detox program, it should be enough. Its also important that you search for a detox program that helps eliminate accumulated fecal matter in your intestines or bowel. Toxic circulating in the body is often the most common cause of skin disorders and that includes acne. The cleaner you blood and body the more healthy will your skin will be.

Step II - Watch your diet. Increase the intake of raw foods such as raw greens, fruits and vegetables. To help your body to digest those foods easier you can turn them into “liquids” by juicing them. The internet is an endless treasure trove of juice mix recipes for different purposes. So go ahead and knock yourself out.

Step III - Stay away from refined sugar, saturated animal fats and hydrogenated oil products. Its even best that you avoid them altogether. This wont only help you remove acne but also improve your health in general.Although this method would not trigger immediate result but its definitely better in the long run. This steps will cleanse your body and help it to heal itself faster. As an added bonus, you can also apply natural organic skin products to you skin which feeds it nutrients to help it heal your skin even faster.

Many people think that getting rid of acne is just impossible. After all, they’ve tried many treatments without succeeding. Acne can be a real pain to deal with. However, what you need to know is that it really is possible to eliminate your acne. You just need to know how to deal with it.

Step one is learning why the acne treatments you normally find on the shelf in the drugstore rarely work. This is an important thing to know if you really want to get rid of acne.

The problem with ninety-five percent of the treatments available is that they’re just trying to treat or cover up the blemishes after they’ve developed already. That means they’re not trying to treat the root of the problem. They’re attempting to deal with one zit at a time after they’re already there.

This is a real problem. After all, why bother trying to get rid of a pimple without trying to do anything to keep new ones from developing later? A big point of frustration for many people is the fact that these companies ignore this area completely. Some even think they’re trying to keep us from getting rid of our acne completely, so we have to keep buying products they manufacture.

If you really want to sure your acne, what you need is a treatment that deals with all the things that cause it. There are four big ones you should know about. The presence of excess skin oil, bacteria that cause acne, skin inflammation and clogged pores can all cause a blemish. Getting rid of your acnes means you have to deal with every one of these problems.

The good news is that this is entirely possible. While you might not find them at your local drugstore, there are acne treatment systems available designed to help you deal with everything that might cause pimples. These systems may require several different steps, because of the number of different things they need to address.

However, you’ll be surprised at how quickly you get results by using these methods. In just a week, you’ll see significant improvement and your skin will be even clearer than you’ve thought possible. It’s great to look in the mirror and see what a difference it makes.

It’s not just possible to get rid of acne, but incredibly simple, as long as you can find the treatment system for you.

Beauty and acne are only skin deep!

Acne — it’s not exactly a subject that you like to talk about every day. At social events, you do your best to conceal t under makeup (although if you’re a man, makeup is usually not a realistic option). For kids, acne is more than just a stage of adolescence — it’s the pits! In fact, acne can be a problem for people of any age. Even newborns and seniors can develop acne!

Americans currently spend more than $4 billion a year on skin treatments, nearly $100 million of which goes toward nonprescription acne medications alone. We lavish millions on expensive special soaps and cleansers, prescription therapies, and visits to physicians. Besides money, we also spend an enormous amount of time at beauty counters, salons, spas, and tanning parlors.

Much of this extravagance is encouraged by the messages we get from the media that market unrealistic promises. Ad campaigns promote skin care products using models and movie stars that have perfect, radiant skin. They perpetuate the idea that clear, youthful appearing skin is the only way to go; imperfections are to be looked down on as something to be ashamed of. Many myths and misconceptions about skin care in general, and acne specifically, continue to be widely believed.
During my 25 years of practicing dermatology, I’ve observed my patients trying to cope with the embarrassment of acne and related skin disorders. That’s what motivated me to write a realistic, practical guide for the understanding and treatment of acne and related conditions. My goal is to dispel many of the myths and misconceptions and to help the reader find out more about his or her condition and manage it more successfully.
Keep in mind that attractiveness to others is much more than physical beauty. It also includes such factors as intelligence and personality. Remember — beauty and acne are only skin deep!

You are not clean inside your body. Inside your body you have little substances called “toxins”. The bad things you ate are still affecting your body, highly processed food contains loads of toxins. If you’re breathing in a polluted area you will most likely get toxins in your system. Somehow you will most likely get these bad substances in your body. And if you’re dirty inside it will affect your health but also your skin, this might be a reason to acne.

How do you clean these substances out of your system then?

When you do a detox(removing the toxins) you might feel ill. You might want to start your day of with a fresh pressed orange drink, that will get your detox starting. During detox this drink might make you feel tired. When the detox is finished you will notice a big difference through your drink. You will be filled up with energy from it.

To only have fruits in the morning is also great because during the night your body is really trying to detox. The detox process continues even when you wake up until you eat something. So a fruit drink is very good to keep your body detoxing.

There are loads and loads of different methods. Some involves drinks over a period of a couple of weeks, others are more intense and can take around 1-2 days. Depending on how quick you want to do this you might want to do a little research about different methods. I hope I gave you something to think about at least because a proper detoxing have cured many people from acne.

Body Detox for Acne and other reasons

Everyone has an off day physically and emotionally, but if you have more than your share then you need to do something about it. A body detoxification just might be the answers if you have been feeling consistently lethargic, have unattributable aches and pain, skin blemishes or even digestive problems. Body detox is nothing new as it has been performed for centuries, particularly cultures that believe in alternative medicine such the Chinese, Japanese and Indians. A body detox involves getting enough rest in addition to nurturing and cleansing your body not only from the outside but from the inside as well. If you could take away and eliminate toxins that are polluting your body, which cause a variety of health concerns, wouldn’t you do it? You accumulate toxins in your body every day from different sources such as smog, pesticides and even chemicals and preservatives in your food. These toxins build up in your body and create those symptoms of lethargy, pains and much more. But with a body detox, you can get rid of them and feel your energy and immune system rally back to health. How Does It All Work?

A body detox is really about cleansing the blood and removing those toxic impurities you collect from a number of environmental sources. Because the liver is the primary organ in your body that is responsible for filtering out and eliminating toxins, just imagine how well it would work when it does not have to work so hard. The skin, lymph system, kidneys and even the intestines also aid in the elimination of toxins but when you put more into your body than these organs can get rid of, the result is a collection of symptoms. Without a detox, your body would continue on the same path of toxic build-up, causing a further health compromise.

A body detox program can help restore your body to natural working order through a variety of ways such as fasting, increasing water consumption and eliminating all processed foods which contain preservatives, chemicals and food dyes. There are also many products on the market such as special teas, supplements and herbs that also aid in body detox as well. The detoxification process focuses on individual cell health rather than a global view as most doctors focus on.

How To Know When You Should Do It

The general consensus among the medical establishment is that body detox should be performed at least once a year, although twice a year is optimal. You are surrounded by toxins everyday in what you eat, touch and even the air you breathe, so a body detox can be quite beneficial in maintaining overall good health. Of course, if your health is already compromised by disease, pregnancy or breast-feeding, it is advisable to wait until you can speak with a medical professional for safety reasons.

Evaluate your lifestyle, body and overall health in your quest to decide whether a body detox program is right for you. If you feel tired all the time, bloated, develop skin rashes or acne, have lethargic digestion, mental fogginess or anything else that cannot be attributed to a specific cause, you are a good candidate for a body detox. As there are a number of detoxification programs available, you must carefully weight the pros and cons of each to ensure the program are not only safe for you but that you would also be able to stick with it for maximum benefit.

Using the Birth Control Pill to control acne

One cause of acne is an imbalance of hormones.  This is one of the reasons why teenagers suffer from acne more than adults.  A dermatologist can determine if this is the case in your situation.

If it is the case, and you are a woman is isn’t planning on getting pregnant, taking a birth control pill to treat acne can be effective.  They work by reducing the hormone androgen as part of their normal course of operation.  This hormone is partially responsible for making skin more oily, and creating oils that clog pores.  It is therefore possible that a side-benefit of taking the pill is to have clearer skin.

As with anything that attempts to change your body chemistry, taking the birth control pill for acne can take one to three months to show any difference.  One of the reasons is that the pill can’t really do much for outbreaks that are already formed, either at the skin level, or just below.  It will begin working on the root cause, but it will take some time for your system to work out a backlog of oils that it has built up.

This isn’t necessarily a good idea, however.  There are many downsides to the birth control pill, such as an increased risk of developing blood clots, diabetes, gall stones, liver tumors, heart attacks, osteoporosis and breast cancer.  The pill has also been associated with mood swings, migraine headaches, and allergic reactions.  It’s unlikely that taking the pill for acne alone is worth the risk, but you should consult with your doctor to discuss options.

And, of course, taking the birth control pill to control your acne may not even work.  Everyone’s body, and thus, everyone’s body chemistry, is different.  And different brands of pill will affect people differently.  Some will have differing abilities, and some will work better than others.  There is a newer drug on the market, Ortho Tri-Cyclen, that is the only pill clinically proven to reduce acne (in addition to other benefits of the pill.)  You should ask your doctor if it’s right for you.

The birth control pill can be useful in fighting acne that’s caused by a hormonal imbalance.  If you are willing to accept the risks, consult with your gynecologist, and see if it’s right for you.

Detox diets and their role in acne prevention

Readers of ControlAcneNaturally.com know that we believe the cause of acne lies within ourselves.  Acne is a inflammatory skin condition caused not by what rub on the outside of our skin, but by what we have going on inside.  Flareups are caused by pore blockage, which are in turn, caused by hormonal activity, internal body detoxification, and other various internal processes.  It’s these activities that eventually lead to whiteheads, blackheads, and other rough acne patches.

Starting in the 1970s, detox diets became fashionable.  There were several kinds, including the no-meat diet, the Celebrity Fit Diet, the Fat Smash diet, and lots of others.  Nearly all of them began with a few week of detox diet, which would serve to shock and flush your system of anything harmful that it already had inside.  There are also liquid-based detox diets, which use fruit and veggie juice as their core.  These diets were based on reducing free radicals in your system, which would make your body healthier all around.

These diets were intended to be just that, diets.  They were intended for weight loss.  As with all weight loss programs, they had mixed success.  Not every metabolism is the same, not everyone has the same willpower or tolerance for eating the foods and sticking the regimen.  However, as a side effect, many people found that while they didn’t lose as much weight as they hoped, they found that they felt much better, and that their skin was much clearer.  This has given more credence to the idea that when it comes to acne, what goes on inside is more important that what goes on outside.

By going on a detox diet, which is often very challenging, you are getting the benefits of cleansing the whole body. This includes the digestive system, which may also be of benefit to the skin, even though that wasn’t the original goal. In ancient chinese medicine it is believed that some problems that are started in the bowels and colon ultimately lead to skin disorders and additional inflammation. The toxins that your system can’t flush out that way have to leave through your pores.

Detox diets therefore have a two-fold benefit.  Not only do they make you healthier, and help with your digestive tract, but they also will help your skin.  Control the inside, and you control the outside.
